I am an Italian-German documentary filmmaker and visual anthropologist, based between Berlin and London.

After my studies in Visual Anthropology at Goldsmiths University of London I worked on several international video-ethnographic research projects, ranging from healthcare to technology and social issues.

I have co-directed and filmed a number of short and feature documentaries: Ancora, a short film about a three-generation fishermen family in the Venice lagoon, produced by Zalab and Giornate degli Autori has screened at several film festivals including Lago Film Fest, Ethnocineca and won awards at Flensburger Kurzfilmtage, Festival Mente Locale, Cinema No Estendal and ASFF. No Island Like Home, a mid-length documentary co-directed with Giulio Gobbetti about the Caribbean island of Montserrat, has been selected for several festivals including Docfeed, Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival, Rincón Film Festival, Arctic Film Festival, the Media Library at Vision du Réel and the Doc/Player at Sheffield Doc/Fest.

I am currently working on Shields, a feature-length documentary about a community of fishermen in North Shields, north-east of England, which was selected for the development programme Itineranze DOC 2023.

Since 2020 I have been collaborating with Lunia Film, a film production company based in Naples.

In 2018 I co-founded Open Cell Media, a creative agency producing videos about biodesign, biotechnologies and the organisations shaping the future of technology, science and design.

Over the years, I have also been commissioned promotional videos and short films for theatre productions, designers, artists, universities and charities.

Get in touch if you want to know more or collaborate, I am always happy to discuss interesting projects!
